Because your child’s records can be accessed online around the clock, they’re available anytime or anywhere they’re needed.

In a natural or other disaster, Florida SHOTS protects your child’s shot records and can be accessed throughout the state should you need to move to another location. In a medical emergency, hospital emergency rooms can access Florida SHOTS for your child’s up-to-the-minute immunization status.

When Hurricane Katrina made landfall in 2005, the Florida SHOTS registry was called in to action as a link to immunization records of thousands of children forced to evacuate Gulf coast states with their families. Florida SHOTS played a vital role in protecting the health and safety of children during this widespread natural disaster.
